Praying for Missionaries

Just as Paul and his co-laborers in the first century, missionaries today need prayer. But knowing that we should pray for missionaries is not typically our problem, is it? We know that. Instead, we typically face two more significant hurdles. First, we must remember and take the time to do it. This is fundamentally a matter of priority and commitment.

Second, we need to know how to pray for missionaries. Once we actually sit down to pray for them, we need to know what to say. We may chuckle about the generic prayer, “Lord, please bless our missionaries. Amen.” All too often, however, that is right where we are. Here are some thoughts to help us move beyond that:
